Man, what to say? This is my "latest and greatest" I guess, and although it's still chock full of errors. But I'll actually say that I like this piece very much.
I had a bit of a hard time on the roses for a little while, and eventually copied the first I made, but managed to change each one enough that I'm okay with that.
I was also glad to include a few extra details like the leaf shaped 'ribbon' on the back, better bodice-lacing, a hairband, slightly-better hair, and a MUCH better whip design and pose.
Basic coloring went okay. The shading was the real pain, especially for the dress....I don't know why, but the gradual change in color just looked AWFUL. It was like I was stuck in 16-bit color instead of 24 or 32-bit, and it refused to give me an in-between color. No matter how I smudged it or paint-brushed it, it looked very ugly. It's slightly better now thank goodness, but I can still see it somewhat.
ALSO, I painted the foreground .... ground. I just blocked in a black area, and then I took white and the paintbrush-tool and lightly sketched some color onto it, smudged it around some, and then I took some green and a small brush, criss-crossed some lines, and then used a smaller smudge to make grass blades out of it. Turned out pretty good for a first time attempt at painting(I think I might have used smaller bits of that idea on something else, but nothing extensive really). And those leaves on the back? Looks awful, but I smudged and blurred a few things here and there and the shading turned out 'just-okay' I guess. Still not happy with that. And the hair shading.....ugh. It'll suffice.
The castle in the background... I messed up by accidently coloring on the line-art layer when I didn't want to, and I colored that ' painted' foreground area on the same layer as the 'castle shading', so that's why there's a bit of a haze around that rock on the right....I smudged the shading UP too much. Oh well. I'm way too conservitive on my layers. I hate making too many...
ACK. I just noticed an itty-bitty little ' pink' dot on the bottom left corner. I guess I didn't black that part of the foreground in well enough. Ugh. I already uploaded it. Nooooooo.....ah well, whatever. I'm done.
Anyway, glad it came out mostly-okay.
Ivysaur is (C) Nintendo/Pokemon/Game Freak/Creatures
For lack of a better word since my mind's everywhere tonight, just gotta say that once again you've nailed it right on the head. Somehow I knew this would come out brilliantly, and as promised I'm definitely ing this. You put so much hard work and effort into your updates, and that's something I'm proud to see amongst my good friends on here. This one resembles Ivysaur a lot more than before, most notably because of the features you've given her and that wily smirk Ivysaur's known for. There's a lot of clarity and definition attributed here. No one has taken a "spin-off" of sorts with the Pokemon franchise in this kind of a direction, so you've really set yourself apart from the rest in terms of dishing out pure originality. Way to go Mag; this is awesome stuff.

Well, when I started the originals a year ago, one of the entries from the Pokemon Gijinka Project had a more-or-less Loli-Goth Tangela(ACTUALLY IT'S THIS ONE), and it just looked so neat, I started thinking of other grass types that could benefit from a sort of lacey-design, and like I've said, I was intrigued about making the 'ugly middle-stage' Ivysaur into something that looked kinda cool. *shrug*
I really, REALLY wish I could improve to the point of doing CG-esque anime style. I get SO jealous when I see those things. x_x;
Dude, you've got a headstrong backbone in that spine of yours....and a gifted mind to go with it. If anyone's to be jealous, it should definitely be me at the sight of your mastery. Seriously, you've got everything goin' for ya. Never in my life have I seen creativity skyrocket to such extremes...even if simplicity is the main aspect here. Doesn't matter really, because whatever you do I will always be impressed and amazed at what you're capable of. And trust me, this version of Ivysaur is worth far more than "kinda cool". It's beyond cool, it's inexplicable.
Anyway, keep up the awesome stuff Mag. Great work up in here tonight.

I'll try to keep it up. ;_; I don't even know what to do next, 'cept....the next page of my manga(which is a difficult one, actually...s'why I keep putting it off). I don't think I want to do yet-another gijinka, but I can't help but feel like comparing Ivysaur to the one in SSBB, and wanting to...make.......others(MAYBE). Eh, I don't even want to think about it right now. z_z;;
Oh wow! She came out gorgeous!I love the detail you put into the outfit. c: This is one of the best designed gijinkas I've seen.

You know, I don't like multiple choice questions. What if I want both options? D: Am I just going to be denied for being a greedy bastard or something?
Wow, thank you very much! I like the ones you have too actually(Empoleon looks really cool). This and the other one I just finished(Misdreavus) were some of my first attempts at putting more detail into my art now....dunno if I can keep up, but it's working well so far... Thanks again..
Hey, even I don't know what to do next, even though I have three projects sitting in front of me figuratively speaking. I'm the same way with putting my stuff off, and the fact my real life demands constant attention doesn't help matters at all. But meh...hopefully soon I'll be able to get past that.
Well, that's a pretty cool concept in my opinion. But you do whatever you feel like--whatever you're comfortable with. Don't sweat a thing.

But.....wow, that's a HUGE undertaking you're going with on that Pokemorph Contest. I don't think I can do that many...I'm not very fast, and I've already put a lot of projects off here and there. I have so much of my own stuff, I wasn't able to finish even one drawing for someone else, so I don't think I'll be able to, sorry.
