Submission for :iconpokedex:, although as busy as they are, I'm sure it'll be quite a while before it's added(I'm not complaining, I'm just saying).

Otherwise, nothing else to say, except that I ask that you view the 'original', found here.

Again, really nice work on this. You put it together in such a way so it doesn't go overboard with special effects but rather keeps that simplistic charm that I enjoyed from your original.

I wish you the best of luck.

She reminds me a LOT of Franziska von Karma from Phoenix Wright. With the whip and green hair a and all.
x3

Anyway, I really like this version of Ivysaur! I hope it gets added to the Pokedex thing soon!
^^
Thanks a lot! And yes, Franziska was one of my source materials, although aside from the whip and hair-color(which was coincidence since Ivysaur is about the same color), it doesn't use her a WHOLE lot, but yeh. :p

I think this version feels a little out of context from the original I made, but I kind of like it. I might do the 'other two' in this style, but at the moment my art ability is fading fast, so.. >_>;
Yeah, well I did go through some of the Pokedex entries and see what kind of stuff they were doing and all, and that was mostly to check the font, which thankfully wasn't necessary cuz I couldn't find it on my system just at a quick glance, so...

I did almost go with a small blurred drop-shadow effect, but I felt like it wasn't necessary. It was kind of cool, made her look like paper affixed just above the background, but I didn't see a need for it, so I left it out.

And I did have to put in a tiiiiny amount of black on her lip-lineart because while it was subtle but still visible in the full size orignal, it was just about invisible in that pic, so I had to make it stand out a little more obviously... >_>;

I really need to get to work on the others....well, my manga really, but like I said, kind of in an art-lull lately, can't seem to do much of anything. :/
Dude....about that drop-shadow effect: It's almost like you read my mind. o_O; See, as I was looking at this, I was wondering what sort of special effects you might've added if given the chance to, and that was one of them (or actually the main one). Now when I say that, it doesn't imply that I think you should of added that. In fact, you played it cool with deciding not to add a drop-shadow. It makes all the difference, no matter how small it may seem. Good thinking. :D

That's cool though. Haven't really worked on anything all that new or exciting since my Doogan project I uploaded on here late last month. Add to that the recent events I've gone through in reality, and there ya have it. So I wouldn't blame you at all. Just take it easy and go at your own pace. That's what I'm comfortable with doing these days. 8-)

I kept alternating between Alt+Z and Alt+Y(Undo and Redo of course), and I just couldn't decide, was a really small detail, but with the small time it took to just copy-paste everything, it was worth mentioning I guess. :P This was more like a 10~20 minute DECISION than it was a drawing. ;) Thanks tho, hopefully things will be on the up and up some day soon..
Heh, nice. =P That usually happens to me too in GIMP. A lot...<.<;

Anyway, no problem. :D
